16 surgical options.
One expert surgeon.
Every surgery listed below is performed by Dr. Gabal at accredited Orange County hospitals and surgical centers — with a commitment to precision, patient safety, and the fastest possible recovery.
Bulkamid
A soft urethral bulking agent injected around the urethra to treat female stress urinary incontinence. Performed under local anesthesia, Bulkamid narrows the urethral opening to reduce leakage. Minimally invasive with minimal downtime and no mesh required.
Cystolitholapaxy
Endoscopic removal of bladder stones using a cystoscope passed through the urethra. A laser or mechanical device breaks up stones into fragments, which are then removed — all without open surgery. Same-day procedure with rapid recovery.
Elevate Cystocele Repair with Mesh
Surgical correction of anterior vaginal wall prolapse (cystocele) — where the bladder drops into the vaginal space — using a supportive mesh system. Restores normal pelvic anatomy and relieves symptoms of pressure, bulging, and incomplete bladder emptying.
Extracorporeal Shock Wave Lithotripsy (ESWL)
A non-invasive procedure using externally focused shock waves to break kidney or ureteral stones into small fragments that pass naturally through urine. Ideal for stones up to 2 cm in the kidney or upper ureter. No anesthesia or incisions required in most cases.
Interstim Sacral Neuromodulation Implantation
A small implantable device (similar to a pacemaker) placed near the sacral nerve to regulate bladder signals and treat overactive bladder, urgency incontinence, and non-obstructive urinary retention. Long-lasting, adjustable, and reversible — performed after a successful trial period.
Labiaplasty
Surgical reshaping or reduction of the labia minora or majora to address functional discomfort (pain during activity or intercourse) or aesthetic concerns. Performed by Dr. Gabal with precision and discretion using advanced techniques that minimize scarring and recovery time.
Mini Arc Suburethral Sling
A small, single-incision mesh sling placed under the urethra to treat stress urinary incontinence in women. Highly effective with a fast recovery — most patients return to normal activity within 1–2 weeks. Avoids the larger incisions of traditional sling procedures.
Pelvic Prolapse Surgery
Surgical correction of pelvic organ prolapse — where the bladder, uterus, rectum, or vaginal walls descend from their normal position. Dr. Gabal offers multiple approaches (native tissue repair, mesh-augmented, laparoscopic) tailored to the degree and type of prolapse and the patient’s goals.
Prostate Artery Embolization (PAE)
A minimally invasive interventional radiology procedure for BPH that reduces prostate size by blocking blood supply to the enlarged tissue. Performed through a small catheter in the wrist or groin. Preserves sexual function with excellent urinary symptom relief and no surgical incisions.
Robotic Laparoscopic Radical Prostatectomy
Minimally invasive surgical removal of the entire prostate gland for prostate cancer using the da Vinci robotic system. Offers superior precision over open surgery with smaller incisions, reduced blood loss, lower complication rates, shorter hospital stay, and better preservation of urinary continence and sexual function.
Transurethral Resection of Bladder Tumor (TURBT)
Endoscopic removal of bladder tumors through the urethra — the primary procedure for diagnosing, staging, and treating non-muscle-invasive bladder cancer. No abdominal incisions. Specimens are sent for pathology to guide further treatment decisions including BCG immunotherapy or surveillance cystoscopy.
Transurethral Resection of the Prostate (TURP)
The gold-standard surgical treatment for moderate-to-severe BPH when medications and minimally invasive options are insufficient. Prostate tissue obstructing the urethra is removed endoscopically — no abdominal incisions. Results in significant, durable improvement in urinary flow and symptoms.
Ureteral Stent Placement
A thin, flexible tube placed inside the ureter to maintain urine flow when the ureter is blocked — by a stone, tumor, stricture, or post-surgical swelling. Temporary stents are commonly placed after ureteroscopy or kidney stone procedures to allow healing and prevent obstruction.
Ureteroscopy
A thin flexible scope is passed through the urethra and bladder into the ureter or kidney to diagnose and treat stones, tumors, and strictures. Laser fragmentation can break up stones of any size for complete removal. The preferred technique for stones in the ureter and larger kidney stones.
UroLift®
A minimally invasive BPH treatment using tiny permanent implants to pull enlarged prostate lobes away from the urethra — instantly restoring urine flow without cutting, heating, or removing tissue. Preserves sexual function, has no catheterization, and most patients return to normal activity within days.
Vaginal Rejuvenation (Surgical)
Surgical tightening and restoration of the vaginal canal and introitus to address laxity caused by childbirth, aging, or hormonal changes. Improves physical comfort, sexual satisfaction, and self-confidence. Dr. Gabal combines surgical precision with an aesthetic sensibility for natural-looking results.
