Lamia Gabal, MD, FPMRS
Urologist & Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery
Dr. Lamia Gabal is a board-certified urologist with a subspecialty board certification in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery (FPMRS). She specializes in several different areas of urology, including regenerative and restorative surgeries. At Prestige Medical Group, the doctor and her staff take great pride in offering many of the newest, cutting-edge treatment options, including SculpSure®, and MonaLisa Touch®.
Dr. Gabal has more than 20 years’ experience in the field of urology. She graduated from the University of California at San Diego Medical School in 1995 completed General Surgery internship as well as Urology residency at UCSD Medical Center. She has been named a “Top Doctor” by the Orange County Medical Association annually for the last 15 years. The doctor and her staff strive to continually provide the latest in technological advancements to the patients they serve.
Vera Trofimenko, MD
Urologist & Sexual Medicine Specialist
Dr. Trofimenko is a board-certified urologist who sees both men and women and is one of the few urologists who is also fellowship trained in sexual medicine.
She received her bachelor’s degree from Columbia University and went on to earn her Doctor of Medicine and a Master’s in Clinical Research degrees at University California San Diego School of Medicine. Dr. Trofimenko completed a general surgery internship at the UCLA Medical Center, followed by a urology residency at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City. She then completed a subspecialty fellowship in urologic prosthetic surgery and sexual medicine in San Diego with world-renowned specialists.
Dr. Trofimenko performs a wide spectrum of the latest minimally invasive and endoscopic urologic procedures for stone disease, benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), lower urinary tract symptoms, urinary incontinence, and cancers of the bladder and the prostate. She performs a no-scalpel office vasectomy for male contraception according to the highest industry standards.
Dr. Trofimenko also offers subspecialty care for men’s health conditions including low testosterone, infertility, erectile dysfunction, and Peyronie’s disease. She additionally treats female sexual dysfunction, including pain with intercourse, genitourinary syndrome of menopause (GSM) and low libido.
Partnering with her patients to develop an individualized and evidence-based treatment plan tailored to fit each patient’s goals and priorities, Dr. Trofimenko is deeply committed to providing efficient and high-quality care.
Dr. Trofimenko has published multiple book chapters and reviews on topics of post-prostatectomy urinary incontinence, genetics in male infertility and hereditary urologic diseases, fertility in spinal cord injury, and neurogenic bladder.
She is an active member of the American Urologic Association (AUA), the Sexual Medicine Society of North America (SMSNA), the International Society for the Study of Women’s Sexual Health (ISSWSH), California Urological Association, and the Western Section of the American Urological Association (WSAUA).
Dr. Trofimenko grew up in San Diego, California. She speaks Russian, Spanish, French and Hebrew. Her hobbies include hiking, travel, and spending time with her Australian Shepard.
Esmeralda Hernandez, APRN, FNP-BC
Nurse Practitioner
Esmeralda Hernandez is a highly skilled and compassionate nationally board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She earned her first undergraduate degree in Psychology from UCLA, where she developed a deep understanding of human behavior and mental health, laying the foundation for her future in healthcare.
She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Concordia University, Irvine. Esmeralda began her career as a Registered Nurse at Mission Hospital on the Neurology and Stroke Unit. Her commitment to providing exceptional care and her ability to adapt quickly led her to take on a Float RN position at UCLA where she contributed to the care of diverse patient populations.
Driven by the desire to expand her clinical expertise and make a more significant impact on patient outcomes, Esmeralda pursued and successfully completed a Masters in Nursing at UC Irvine. During her graduate studies she developed a profound interest in Women’s Health, specifically pelvic health.
Esmeralda is a member of the American Urological Association staying actively engaged in the latest advancement and research within the field of urology. She believes in a multidisciplinary approach to patient care, collaborating with urologists and other specialists to provide comprehensive patient-centered treatment plans.
When not caring for patients, Esmeralda enjoys spending time with her family, volunteering at the local elementary school, playing tennis, and practicing yoga.
Katie Boyd-Cordova PA
Meet Katie Boyd-Cordova, a proud Orange County native and a graduate of The USC Keck School of Medicine Physician Assistant Program.
Katie’s professional journey took off in the vibrant city of Las Vegas, where she dedicated nearly five years to the fields of Urogynecology, Obstetrics, and Gynecology. Her expertise includes training in vaginal reconstructive surgery as a skilled first assistant, extensive involvement in surgical services addressing incontinence and prolapse, and the proficient execution of standard in-office procedures.
Fluently bilingual in English and Spanish, Katie’s passion for medicine was kindled through the compassionate care she provided to her elderly grandparents. She cherishes the opportunity to be a part of a dedicated and caring medical practice, where she can serve patients from all walks of life with genuine enthusiasm.
Stacy Peralta PA
Stacy Peralta is a board-certified Physician Assistant and a member of the American Urological Association and American Urogynecologic Society. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences from the University of California, Irvine and her Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies from Western University of Health Sciences. After having worked in primary care and same-day care settings since 2014, she uses her extensive experience in Family Medicine and special interest in Women’s Health to help serve her patients. Stacy feels that every patient is unique and approaches each situation with compassion and the goal of providing an individualized treatment plan to help achieve the best possible outcome. She is also an advocate for health education and preventive care, considering both cornerstones of medicine.
Outside of caring for patients, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, traveling to new destinations and enjoying the local cuisine, and relaxing with a good book
Amanda Allen, PA-C
Amanda Allen is a dedicated Physician Assistant with a passion for urology and a strong commitment to improving patient care. Her journey began with a solid foundation, earning a Bachelor of Science in Physiology from the University of Arizona. Building upon this, Amanda pursued her interest in human movement and biomechanics, completing a Master of Science in Exercise Science from the University of Northern Colorado.
Driven by a desire to expand her impact on healthcare, Amanda transitioned from her role as a fitness professional to pursue a career as a Physician Assistant. Her journey led her to Chapman University, where she earned her Masters of Medical Sciences in PA Studies, further honing her skills and knowledge in patient care.
Throughout her career, Amanda discovered her passion for urology, drawn to its profound impact on patients’ lives. With a compassionate approach, she strives to provide comprehensive care and support to individuals facing urological challenges.
Beyond her professional endeavors, Amanda finds joy in an active lifestyle. She values staying fit and healthy, often engaging in exercise activities. As a devoted mother of two, she embraces her role as a sports mom, actively supporting her children’s endeavors on and off the field.
