Lasting relief from bladder prolapse
Elevate® Cystocele Repair with Mesh is a minimally invasive surgical solution for vaginal prolapse affecting the bladder and/or vaginal apex. The procedure is performed entirely through the vaginal canal — no abdominal incisions — using lightweight permanent mesh to restore long-term structural support to the pelvic floor.
What is Elevate® Cystocele Repair?
The Elevate® procedure is a cutting-edge, minimally invasive surgical option for vaginal prolapse. It specifically addresses prolapse of the bladder (cystocele) and/or the apex of the vagina — common conditions that can cause discomfort, urinary symptoms, and pelvic pressure as the pelvic floor weakens over time.
Performed entirely through the vaginal canal — with no abdominal incisions — the procedure uses lightweight permanent mesh to reinforce the bladder and vaginal wall, helping to restore the bladder to its natural position and provide long-lasting support to weakened pelvic structures.

How the procedure is performed
A four-step reconstruction
The entire procedure is performed through the vagina, with the mesh anchored to a strong natural ligament for stable, long-term support.
The vaginal tissue is carefully separated from the bladder wall.
A permanent mesh is positioned behind the bladder for structural support.
Mesh arms are anchored to the sacrospinous ligament in the pelvis for stability.
Vaginal tissue is closed with dissolvable stitches.
This is a hospital-based surgery
Unlike our in-office procedures, Elevate® is performed in the hospital under general anesthesia with an overnight hospital stay. You’ll need to follow standard pre-operative instructions and arrange for someone to bring you home the day after surgery.
Vaginal gauze packing and a catheter will be in place after surgery — both are typically removed the next morning before discharge.
What to expect after surgery
Recovery is gradual, but most women find they’re functioning well within two weeks — with full healing complete around the six-week mark.
Overnight hospital stay
Vaginal packing and a catheter are in place to support healing and drain the bladder while you rest.
Discharge home
Packing and catheter are typically removed the next morning. If you can’t void normally, you may go home with a catheter for one week.
Back to normal
Most women feel back to their normal selves within two weeks — though activity restrictions still apply.
Fully healed
Full recovery is complete around six weeks, when activity restrictions are typically lifted.
